Handwoven by the artisans of M’rirt, a village nestled in the Middle Atlas Mountains, this rug is a testament to Moroccan craftsmanship. Led by Soukina, a second-generation artisan, this group of 40 weavers continues the tradition founded by her late mother, Keltouma, in the early 2000s. Specializing in medium to high hand-knot rugs, they use a distinctive thick knotting technique that creates an extra-plush texture, unique to their region.
Paying homage to Morocco’s cedar forests, this rug features a grid pattern reminiscent of the strength and resilience of cedar trees.
Cedar Grid is part of our latest collection, Neutral Ground, a collection that bridges artful design with simplicity, offering warmth and balance to any space. Rooted in traditional Moroccan craftsmanship, each rug represents a harmonious blend of heritage and modernity.
Made from 100% “live” wool, it is dyed using the finest ingredients by a third-generation dyeing family. This meticulous process ensures rich, lasting colors, while maintaining a commitment to sustainability and quality in every piece.
